Magician - One Man Stand-up Show

The STAND-UP MAGIC SHOW (For small to medium sized audiences)

Sometimes there are special occasions or events where there are a select number of guests planned to attend.

There is a show that bridges the gap between close-up magic and stage magic. It's a bit like a stage act but on a smaller scale. This type of show is what some people would call platform magic, parlour magic or stand-up magic.

Dorian is able to perform an exclusive stand-upmagic show that is suitable in most situations to entertain a single small to medium group of people (typically between 10 and 50 guests).

The show lasts approximately 40 minutes. There is no padding or chaff, just a solid, entertaining, quality performance of close-up magic and mind reading. As with the regular close-up magic the show is very interactive and the audience is still very much involved in the act.

This stand-up magic act is pretty much suitable for any environment and situation within reason. Whether the guests are seated at a single table or standing/sitting in a group.

 

 

There are a number of ways in which this type of show works:

1. When there is a single table of diners there are two main options:

Option 1A:
Magician Dorian can entertain the table in between courses, approx 8 minutes after starter, 8 minutes after main course and then 24 minutes after desert. (Of course the magic can be split between more corses if need be).

Option 1B:
The complete after dinner show. Performed in total after desert (during coffee).

2. When there is a group of people gathered:

The show runs 40 minutes straight through from start to finish. This type of show is very well suited to entertain a casual grouping of people – e.g. office party. It does not matter whether the guests are seated or standing.
